Rural Mural Project

 

The Rural Mural Project is a display of outdoor murals throughout Southeast Colorado.  It is the goal of the SECCP to create a corridor of art along Highway 50 in Southeast Colorado.

Amtrak Mural

First Street & Santa Fe, La Junta, CO 81050

Artist: Zeke Ayala

This mural is located on the Chamber of Commerce building in La Junta.  A railroad themed bench sits in front of the mural.  Funding for the mural was provided by Amtrak.  The commission for the painting of the mural was awarded to local artist Zeke Ayala.
